Peace Dog Aloka Receives Hero's Welcome in Gurugram

A large gathering of animal enthusiasts assembled in Gurugram on June 16 to meet Aloka, the renowned "Peace Dog" whose story has gained worldwide attention. Visitors lined up at The Westin Gurugram to interact with the dog, taking photographs and petting him while he remained calm and composed throughout the event.
Aloka's journey began in 2022 as an unnamed street dog in India. He encountered Buddhist monks undertaking a walking pilgrimage and followed them for over 100 days across India and Nepal. The monks named him "Aloka," meaning "Light." After the pilgrimage ended, he was brought to Huong Dao Temple in Fort Worth, Texas, where he now resides.
