Protests Erupt in PoK Over Election Rigging Allegations and Political Crisis

Protests have intensified in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir over allegations of electoral irregularities and political interference. Demonstrators and activists have raised concerns about governance, representation and political freedoms, while authorities have defended their actions and blamed the unrest on attempts to disrupt the electoral process.
The crisis escalated during regional elections, with clashes reported between security forces and protesters. Disagreements over voting procedures, reserved seats and political representation, coupled with long-standing economic grievances, have fueled public anger in the region.
The unrest has drawn wider attention to questions about democracy, civil liberties and Islamabad's handling of the political crisis.
