Police team attacked by villagers in Bihar after ward councillor's husband shot dead

A police team faced an attack from angry villagers in Sitamarhi district, Bihar, after the husband of a ward councillor was shot dead by criminals. Residents claimed the liquor mafia was responsible for the shooting.

The Superintendent of Police's office stated that following an earlier firing incident involving Baidyanath Mahto, one accused had already surrendered before the Court. Legal proceedings were underway to obtain warrants against the remaining accused in the case.
