Over 54% of urban households report economic conditions worsened, RBI survey finds

A Reserve Bank of India survey reveals that 54.5% of urban households perceive economic conditions have worsened, marking a sharp increase from 50.5% in July and 40.9% in September of the previous year.
The rising proportion of respondents expressing pessimism about economic conditions indicates a growing concern among urban populations about the trajectory of the economy. The trend shows a consistent upward movement in negative sentiment over recent months.
The RBI survey tracks consumer perceptions on economic health and spending patterns across urban India, providing key indicators of household confidence and economic outlook.
