Rebel Trinamool MLA Kanaia Lal Agarwal appointed PAC chairman in West Bengal Assembly

Kanaia Lal Agarwal, a Trinamool Congress MLA, has been appointed chairman of the Public Accounts Committee in the West Bengal Assembly. Traditionally, the PAC chairmanship has been given to the Opposition party. The committee plays a crucial role in overseeing government expenditure and scrutinising audit reports submitted by the Comptroller and Auditor General.
