Retired RTC Employees Detained During Telangana Assembly Protest

Approximately 1,500 retired employees of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) were detained by police during a march to the Telangana Assembly. The employees were protesting over ₹861 crore in pending retirement benefits owed to them.

The demonstration was staged as retired workers sought to press their demands for the outstanding dues directly at the legislature.
