Ritabrata Targets Mamata, Says Assembly Has Been Paralysed for 15 Years

In the budget session of the Bengal Legislative Assembly, Leader of the Opposition Ritabrata Banerjee launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He said that for the past 15 years the functioning of the assembly has been affected and the number of working days has not been increased.
According to Ritabrata, the opposition is being given only 50 percent of the time, which is inadequate. He alleged that the government is not respecting the dignity of the opposition and that the rules of parliamentary democracy are not being followed.
