Russia to increase fertiliser supplies to India, says official
Russia has significantly increased fertilizer shipments to India during the current year, according to statements made at BRICS. President Putin has assured Prime Minister Modi of continued supplies of these vital agricultural inputs.
Russian producers supplied 6.5 million tonnes of fertilizers to India last year. India now sources one in every three tonnes of imported fertilizer from Russia, reflecting the country's heavy dependence on Russian supplies.
BRICS nations collectively receive half of all Russian mineral fertilizer exports, highlighting the strategic importance of fertilizer trade within the bloc.
