Sule Asks How Jailed Bishnoi Could Claim Shroff Firing Attack, Seeks Probe

Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) leader Supriya Sule on Thursday questioned how jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's group could claim responsibility for the firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai's Juhu area. She was reacting to reports of a social media post that purportedly claimed responsibility for the attack, expressing surprise that someone lodged in jail could assert involvement in such an incident.
Speaking to reporters, Sule said she was puzzled that news outlets describe Bishnoi as being in jail, yet a statement was apparently issued in his name. She said the situation was confusing and raised concerns over the alleged remarks, demanding an inquiry into how a person inside a jail could carry out such activity.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Police produced four accused, including two women, before a magistrate's court, which remanded them to police custody until October 26. Police allege two of the accused travelled to Amritsar to procure weapons, and that the firearms were transported by train to Mumbai.
The firing took place on Sunday evening, when at least two men allegedly fired at Shroff's car before fleeing on a motorcycle. The actor escaped without serious injuries, while his driver and a bystander were reportedly hurt. So far, 10 accused have been arrested, and investigators are examining the sequence of events and possible wider involvement.
