Sanchita Ugale's Friend Accuses Co-Star Ujwal Sharma of Harassment, Denies His Claims

Television actress Sanchita Ugale, known for her role in Kumkum Bhagya, died by suicide at her Palghar home on June 14 at age 22. Her close friend and fellow actress Indraxi Kanjilal has alleged that Sanchita faced mental harassment from her Saajan Ghar co-star Ujwal Sharma during their time working together.

Indraxi claimed Ujwal borrowed money from Sanchita and later behaved rudely toward her. When she asked for repayment, he allegedly lashed out, humiliated her, and threatened to hit her. Indraxi said she possesses screenshots of their conversations showing inappropriate language and insults. She stated Sanchita complained to production heads about the harassment but eventually left the show after realizing nothing would change.

Indraxi dismissed Ujwal's claims that Sanchita's emotional distress stemmed from a past relationship, saying he was not close enough to know details about her personal life.
