7-Year-Old Dies, Three Injured After School Staircase Collapses in Bihar

A seven-year-old girl, identified as Ritika Kumari, died after a staircase collapsed at a government primary school in Amni village under Mansi police station in Bihar's Khagaria district on Wednesday morning around 10 am. Three other students sustained injuries in the incident.

The injured students were admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment. District Magistrate Vikram Virkar directed the District Education Officer to investigate the incident and submit a report within 24 hours. The girl's family has been provided compensation of Rs 4 lakh.
