Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland unite to challenge UK's constitutional future

Leaders of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland came together in Cardiff on Monday to assert their nations' right to determine their own constitutional futures. SNP leader John Swinney, Plaid Cymru leader Rhun ap Iorwerth, and Sinn Féin's Michelle O'Neill signed a memorandum of understanding calling on Westminster to prepare for constitutional change.
The declaration marks a historic moment: for the first time since devolution began, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are simultaneously led by politicians favouring independence or constitutional separation from the UK. The meeting signals a coordinated challenge to Westminster's authority over these constituent nations.
