States Announce Free Bus Services And Travel Concessions For NEET UG Re-Exam Candidates On June 21

Several state governments have announced travel support measures ahead of the NEET UG 2026 re-examination scheduled for June 21. The National Testing Agency will conduct the re-exam after the earlier test held on May 3 was cancelled due to allegations of paper leaks and irregularities. The transport initiatives aim to help medical aspirants reach examination centres without additional financial burden.
States including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Punjab are offering varying levels of support. Bihar has announced free travel on all BSRTC bus categories from June 20 onwards, while Uttar Pradesh is providing 50 per cent fare concession on UPSRTC buses. Delhi has granted free travel through Delhi Transport Corporation buses, and candidates need only carry admit cards as proof.
In Mumbai, railway authorities have confirmed no mega blocks on suburban networks on examination day to ensure smooth movement. Both Western and Central Railway will operate regular schedules to facilitate thousands of students travelling to centres.
