Tej Pratap Yadav’s Party Fields Veena Manvi For Bankipur Bypoll, Sets Stage For High-Profile Contest

The Jan Shakti Janata Dal (JSJD) has officially entered the race for the upcoming Bankipur Assembly bypoll by naming social activist Veena Manvi as its candidate. Party chief Tej Pratap Yadav announced her candidature on Sunday after presenting her with the party's election symbol, formally launching her campaign for the crucial contest.
Following the announcement, Manvi expressed gratitude to the party leadership through a social media message, saying she was honoured by the trust placed in her. She pledged to represent the concerns of the people of Bankipur and work towards meeting their expectations if elected.
Her entry is expected to add a fresh dimension to what is shaping up to be one of Bihar's most closely watched by-elections. The contest has already drawn significant political attention after Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraaj party, declared his intention to contest from the constituency.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is also expected to announce its nominee soon, making the Bankipur bypoll a likely multi-cornered battle. Political observers believe the election will serve as an important test of strength for emerging and established parties ahead of future electoral contests in Bihar.
