Tejashwi urges PM Modi to release ₹5,000 crore for Bihar flood relief

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting ₹5,000 crore in central assistance for flood-affected areas in Bihar.

In his letter, Tejashwi alleged that the current flood situation stems not only from natural calamity but also from years of inadequate disaster response, mitigation, and adaptation strategies in the state's disaster management framework.

The appeal comes as Bihar grapples with severe flooding, with the opposition leader pressing the Centre for immediate financial support to aid relief and rehabilitation efforts.
