Tejashwi Accuses Bihar CM of POCSO Act Violation Over Minor's Identity Disclosure

RJD national working president Tejashwi Yadav has accused Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary of violating the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) Act by publicly disclosing a minor victim's identity. Choudhary had posted a photograph with the victim's family on social media during a meeting at his residence regarding a molestation case in Jamui district, though the post was later removed.
Tejashwi cited Section 23 of the POCSO Act 2012, which mandates strict confidentiality of child victims' identities across all media platforms. He argued that such disclosure constitutes a serious crime punishable by imprisonment of up to one year and fines. Tejashwi called for stringent action against the Chief Minister, questioning the rule of law when such violations occur.
