Telangana CM Revanth Reddy orders probe into Assembly Speaker incident, warns MLAs

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday ordered a comprehensive investigation into alleged misconduct by Assembly Speaker G. Prasad Kumar during September 6 violence, clashes between BRS legislators and police, and related incidents. He stated that strict action would be taken against those responsible, regardless of their position or political rank, including cases under the SC/ST Act.
Reddy expressed solidarity with the Assembly Speaker and urged him to continue discharging constitutional duties firmly. He warned that those attempting to secure bail using legal provisions would not escape public accountability. He also accused BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao of inciting party legislators to target Dalit leaders and the Assembly Speaker.
