Telugu Desam fields Roop Kumar Yadav for Nellore Mayor

The Telugu Desam Party has nominated P. Roop Kumar Yadav, a former Deputy Mayor, as its candidate for the Nellore Mayor position. This sets the stage for a direct contest against YSRC's Anam Vijay Kumar Reddy in the upcoming municipal election.

Yadav's nomination reflects TD's efforts to retain its influence in the Andhra Pradesh municipal corporation. The move comes as the two major parties in the state position themselves for local body elections.
