Karnataka Minister B Nagendra Resigns Over Valmiki Corporation Scam
Karnataka minister B Nagendra resigned on Friday following allegations of a massive scam involving the Valmiki Corporation. The controversy centres on the alleged diversion of ₹89.63 crore in corporation funds. Nagendra, who had been recently re-inducted into the cabinet this month, claimed the allegations were part of a conspiracy targeting him as a tribal man.
Opposition parties had intensified calls for his resignation over the scam. Nagendra's departure comes as the state government faces mounting pressure to address the fund diversion controversy.
