25 Years On, Academics Recall Fight Against Biotech Park on UAS-B Land

A quarter-century after a significant land-use dispute, academics and alumni of the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, have documented their struggle against a proposed biotech park on university grounds. They have released a handbook detailing the campaign, aiming to serve as a resource for future land-related activism.
The handbook chronicles the academic community's efforts to protect the agricultural institution's land from conversion for biotechnology development. The initiative reflects ongoing concerns about preserving educational and research spaces amid urban development pressures.
