US Disputes Iran's Mine Strike Claim on Oil Tanker in Hormuz

The US Central Command has rejected Iran's assertion that an oil tanker was struck by a mine in the Strait of Hormuz. According to CENTCOM, the vessel was hit by an Iranian drone over the weekend while operating near the Oman coast.

The tanker had been previously targeted by an Iranian missile last month, according to the US military statement. The latest incident marks a continued escalation in the volatile Gulf region.
