US and Iran Sign Historic Accord to End Hostilities

Senior US officials released details of a memorandum of understanding with Iran on Wednesday, ending days of secrecy surrounding the agreement. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who mediated between the parties, confirmed that leaders of both nations signed the deal, which enters into force immediately.
The accord declares immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon. Both nations undertake not to initiate any war or military operation against each other and commit to respecting each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity. The parties have set a maximum of 60 days, extendable with mutual consent, to negotiate and finalize the complete agreement.
