US redirects 30 commercial ships, signals prolonged military campaign against Iran

US Central Command announced it has redirected 30 commercial vessels, disabled 2, and boarded 2 to ensure compliance with maritime operations in the region. The command stated that nearly 30 ships have been permitted to pass through for humanitarian aid.
President Donald Trump signalled that the United States should prepare for ongoing military engagements with Iran, criticising the country's conduct during diplomatic discussions. Trump stated the US objective is clear: "They cannot have a nuclear weapon. Iran will not have a nuclear weapon." He indicated limited interest in an immediate diplomatic resolution, saying "a little bit" when asked if Americans should expect continued strikes between the two nations.
