US Strikes Iranian Rocket Launchers, IRGC Pledges Retaliation

The United States military carried out strikes against Iranian rocket launchers near the Strait of Hormuz last week. The action comes as the US has also been clearing sea mines from the strait's international shipping routes.

In response, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has vowed to retaliate against the US strikes. The escalation marks a heightening of tensions in the strategically critical waterway, a key global shipping corridor.
