Vande Bharat train built in Punjab completes high-speed trial

A Vande Bharat train manufactured in Punjab has successfully completed a high-speed trial run at 180 kilometres per hour on the Mathura-Nagda railway section. The test demonstrates the capability of the domestically-built train to operate at elevated speeds on designated routes.
The Vande Bharat series represents India's indigenous semi-high-speed train technology, designed to connect major cities with improved travel comfort and reduced journey times. Trains from this series are manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) facility in Chennai and the Rail Coach Factory in Punjab.
The successful completion of this trial marks progress in India's efforts to expand its network of modern, domestically-manufactured trains across the national railway system.
