Vijayawada Municipal Corporation deploys sanitation staff for Ganesh idol immersions

The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation has made special arrangements for Ganesh idol immersions, deploying additional sanitation staff at immersion points across the city. The initiative aims to manage the large-scale immersions during the festival season.

So far, 15,000 kg of puja waste has been collected from immersion activities. The corporation is processing this waste into incense sticks and organic manure, ensuring environmentally responsible disposal and reducing landfill burden.
