Young Indians Willingly Selling Bank Accounts to Cybercriminals

Many young Indians are voluntarily opening bank accounts and selling them to cybercriminals, according to reports. In several instances, these youngsters have bypassed intermediaries and directly transferred accounts to fraudsters. The accounts are then used as "mule accounts" to facilitate online scams, money laundering, and other illegal financial operations.
This trend highlights growing participation of youth in financial crime, either through direct sale of accounts or as intermediaries. The practice enables criminals to move illicit funds while creating layers of separation from the actual fraud operations.
