AICWA Urges SIT Probe Into Actress Sanchita Ugale's Death

The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to establish a Special Investigation Team to investigate the death of television actress Sanchita Ugale. AICWA President Suresh Shyamlal Gupta called for an independent and transparent inquiry, stating that several questions surrounding her death require thorough examination.
Sanchita, known for her work in Kumkum Bhagya, was found dead at her residence in Nalasopara East on June 14 at age 22. In his letter, Gupta emphasized the importance of establishing facts and ensuring justice for the actress and her family, noting that recurring deaths in the entertainment industry have raised public concern.
The association has requested investigators review Sanchita's social media activity as part of the inquiry timeline, including an Instagram Story reportedly posted hours before news of her death emerged.
