Air India Express Launches Daily Direct Flight Between Pune and Amritsar

Air India Express has begun daily direct flight operations between Pune and Amritsar, linking Maharashtra's cultural hub with Punjab's spiritual capital. The inaugural flight departed from Pune on June 15. The service operates with departures from Pune at 1:20 am, arriving in Amritsar at 4:10 am, with return flights leaving Amritsar at 5 am and reaching Pune at 7:50 am.

The new route is expected to serve pilgrims visiting the Golden Temple, tourists exploring heritage sites like Jallianwala Bagh and the Attari-Wagah border ceremony, along with business professionals and students. Direct connectivity eliminates the need for connecting flights, reducing travel time significantly.

With this addition, Air India Express now directly connects Pune to 12 destinations with approximately 105 weekly flights from the city. The expansion is aimed at strengthening air connectivity and boosting tourism, business travel and educational exchanges from Pune.
