Arunachal cabinet forms panel to survey Siang hydroelectric project

The Arunachal Pradesh cabinet, led by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, has formed a high-level committee to oversee a survey of the Siang hydroelectric project. The panel will facilitate engagement with communities in Siang and Upper Siang districts, two areas directly affected by the proposed infrastructure development.

The move comes as the state government seeks to advance the large hydroelectric initiative while addressing local concerns and gathering necessary ground-level feedback from residents in the project-affected regions.
