Bajaj Auto Trainees Resume Stop-Work Protest in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Trainee workers at Bajaj Auto resumed their stop-work protest outside the company's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar facility on Saturday morning, alleging that management failed to honour earlier commitments. The students staged a sit-in from 6am until 3:30pm at the main gate, though attendance was lower than previous demonstrations.
Tensions escalated when the company began transporting workers through a rear exit after the afternoon shift. Protesters attempted to block the buses, prompting police intervention. Three individuals—Shubham Gholap, Sagar Sonawane and Navnath Kuber—were detained during the standoff.
This marks an escalation following an earlier massive protest on August 11 involving approximately 3,000 trainees. Agitator Ganesh Kalwe indicated that 300-400 trainees would continue an overnight sit-in, with plans to intensify the agitation in coming days.
