Beed Tehsildar Advises Farmers to Delay Kharif Sowing Until Adequate Rainfall

Beed Tehsildar Chandrakant Shelke visited Jarud village on Monday, where he advised farmers to postpone kharif sowing until adequate and sustained rainfall is received. He warned that sowing after inadequate showers could force farmers to re-sow crops, resulting in financial losses. Shelke recommended farmers monitor weather forecasts and wait for four to eight days of satisfactory rainfall before making sowing decisions.
During the visit, the tehsildar also attended the first day of classes at a local Zilla Parishad school, encouraging students to prioritize education and discipline. District Collector Vivek Johnson and other officials have similarly appealed to farmers to adopt scientific farming practices and implement proper water conservation and risk management strategies during the upcoming kharif season.
