Bhiwandi closes five roadside garbage dumping points in cleanliness drive

The Bhiwandi-Nizampur City Municipal Corporation (BNCMC) has permanently closed five roadside garbage dumping points located across major roads under all five prabhag committees. The initiative, launched on the directions of Municipal Commissioner Anmol Sagar, aims to curb roadside dumping, eliminate foul odours, and reduce waste accumulation that has been affecting residents and pedestrians.
The civic administration undertook the measure on an experimental basis, shutting one prominent dumping point in each prabhag committee. The move is intended to prevent recurring waste accumulation on roads and beneath flyovers, while encouraging residents and shopkeepers to hand over waste to garbage collection vehicles. Officials identified specific locations across wards in all five prabhag committees for the first phase of the drive.
