Two Fraud Cases Reported in Bhiwandi: ATM Card Swap and Gold Ornament Scam

Two separate fraud cases have been reported in Bhiwandi. In the first incident, retired resident Prakash Patil lost ₹43,571 after his Punjab National Bank ATM card was swapped at a cash machine in Hanuman Nagar, Tadali, on September 20 evening. An unidentified man distracted him while allegedly replacing his card with another, then withdrew money from his account. Bhiwandi City police registered a case and launched an investigation.
In the second case, a 59-year-old woman from Temghar Pada was stopped on Bhiwandi-Kalyan Road by two men who claimed she faced a religious crisis. They asked her to remove her gold ornaments and pretended to wrap them in a handkerchief before fleeing with her mangalsutra and earrings worth approximately ₹64,000. Shantinagar police have registered a case against the two unidentified accused.
