Bhiwandi Students Create Eco-Friendly Ganesh Idols in School Competition

Bhiwandi: An eco-friendly Ganesh idol-making competition was organised at NES English Primary School by Dhamankar Naka Mitra Mandal and Swabhiman Seva Sanstha. A total of 225 students participated in the initiative, guided by school principal Mansi Raje. The young participants used shadu clay, regular clay and colourful modelling clay to create diverse Ganesha idol designs.
The competition aimed to encourage children to explore their creativity while promoting environmentally responsible festival celebrations. Organisers said introducing eco-friendly practices at an early age could help create greater awareness about environmental conservation. Principal Raje noted that such activities foster artistic talent, environmental awareness, confidence and patience while encouraging pride in Indian culture and traditions.
