Computers stolen from Vasai court complex, police launch investigation

Several computers were stolen from the Vasai District and Sessions Court complex on Wednesday afternoon, prompting Vasai police to register an FIR. The theft came to light during the afternoon and was immediately reported to judicial authorities.

A Vasai police official confirmed this was the first theft reported from the court premises. Investigations are underway to determine the total number of stolen gadgets and whether other electronic equipment or important material was taken.

The incident has raised concerns about security arrangements at the court complex. District Judge Hemant B. Sirsalkar and Magistrate U. V. Jadhav personally verified the situation. Members of the Bar have long raised concerns about inadequate infrastructure and security at the Vasai court complex, citing the need for a properly planned and secured facility.
