A video showing dhol-tasha performance inside the Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital, a Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation-run facility, has surfaced on social media, raising concerns about noise levels in a healthcare setting. The video was shared by advocate Ashok Bhagwan Dhaigude, who questioned the incident satirically.
Citizens have raised objections, noting that hospitals require quiet environments for patient recovery and treatment. The circumstances of the performance—whether it was authorised by hospital administration, organised by visitors, or conducted by an outside group—remain unclear.
Sant Tukaram Nagar Police Inspector Suhas Awhad said police would investigate the matter and take action based on their findings. The 750-bed hospital is a major healthcare facility in Pimpri-Chinchwad.
