DRI Seizes 1.312 Kg Amphetamine Worth ₹1.05 Crore at Nagpur Station

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) Mumbai Zone has dismantled an inter-state drug trafficking syndicate, seizing 1.312 kg of amphetamine valued at approximately ₹1.05 crore. Acting on intelligence, DRI officers intercepted a female Indian national travelling on the Hazrat Nizamuddin–KSR Bengaluru Rajdhani Express at Nagpur Railway Station.
Examination of her luggage revealed a concealed compartment hidden behind the inner fabric lining of a suitcase, containing two packages wrapped in blue carbon paper. Field drug testing confirmed the presence of amphetamine. The recovered substance was seized under NDPS Act provisions, and the passenger was arrested and produced before court.
DRI officials stated the seizure reflects their commitment to combating organised narcotics trafficking networks operating across state borders.
