Eight booked in Navi Mumbai shipping jobs scam; 75 defrauded of Rs 1.73 crore

Thane Police have registered a case against eight suspects, including owners and staff members of a shipping company, for allegedly defrauding 75 job applicants of more than Rs 1.73 crore.

The accused promised employment opportunities in the shipping sector but instead collected substantial sums from the victims. The investigation is ongoing to establish the full extent of the fraud and identify any additional accused.
