Embraer and Mahindra select Nagpur for potential C-390 transport aircraft assembly

Brazilian aerospace company Embraer and Indian conglomerate Mahindra have selected Nagpur in Maharashtra as the site for a potential assembly facility for the C-390 Millennium transport aircraft. The decision follows discussions on establishing defence manufacturing capabilities in India.
The C-390 is a medium-lift military transport aircraft used by several countries. This assembly line would support India's growing defence sector and reduce dependency on imports for military transport aircraft.
