Ganesh Gite Appointed Chairman of Nashik APMC Administrative Board
The Maharashtra state Marketing Department has appointed a non-official administrative board to manage the Nashik Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC), one of the region's major agricultural markets. Former Nashik Municipal Corporation Standing Committee chairman Ganesh Gite has been named chairman, with former MLA Balasaheb Sanap, Sachin Bhaskar Dikhle and Bapu Pingle as members. The board assumed charge on October 3.
The appointment follows internal differences and political disputes that led to the removal of the earlier elected board. The new board will focus on resolving pending issues for farmers and traders, improving infrastructure, and enhancing the market committee's revenue. The administrative board is expected to function for six months or until APMC elections are completed, whichever comes first.
