Gen Next activists hold counter-protest near Mantralaya against CJP's Election Commission stir

Mumbai witnessed duelling protests on Friday as the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), founded by Abhijit Dipke, staged a demonstration at Shivaji Park against the Election Commission and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Simultaneously, approximately 150 Gen Next activists held a counter-protest near the Dr BR Ambedkar statue outside Mantralaya.
The counter-protesters raised slogans against Dipke and the CJP, and also chanted against former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. They opposed the CJP's agitation and its allegations against the Election Commission. The CJP has been demanding the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner and the scrapping of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
The counter-demonstration lasted approximately half an hour, with police present to manage traffic at the busy junction. The activists eventually dispersed, leaving placards at the site.
