Godman Ashok Kharat's Network May Extend Beyond Maharashtra; Hotel Under Probe

A Special Investigation Team is investigating controversial Nashik-based self-styled godman Ashok Kharat, accused of sexually exploiting women under the guise of religious rituals and faith. Initially suspected to operate within Nashik and Ahilyanagar districts, the probe now suggests his alleged network may extend across multiple states.
According to investigation details, women devotees were allegedly lured through promises of religious rituals and pujas, then exploited. Kharat is suspected of contacting women from different parts of the country and arranging secret meetings at a five-star hotel on the Nashik-Shirdi highway. Women reportedly told families they were travelling for religious darshan, exploiting their trust.
Investigators are examining allegations that Kharat used psychological influence and false promises of rituals and remedies to keep women under his control. The team is probing whether he systematically summoned women to specific locations under the pretext of performing religious ceremonies.
