Pune Metro Records 23% Rise in Ridership, 22% Revenue Growth in September

Pune Metro witnessed significant growth in September, recording 93,58,603 passenger journeys compared with 75,92,319 rides in September 2025—a 23% increase. Monthly revenue climbed from ₹11.70 crore to ₹14.32 crore, marking a 22% year-on-year rise and representing the highest monthly ridership and revenue in the past 13 months.

The surge was attributed partly to heavy passenger movement during the Ganeshotsav festival period in September 2026. The metro operator credited its staff and the public's trust in the service for managing the increased demand during the festive season.
