Maratha quota activist Jarange alleges murder plot as Mumbai march permission denied

Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange has alleged a conspiracy to assassinate him during his planned march to Mumbai. The allegation comes as Mumbai Police denied permission for his indefinite hunger strike scheduled to begin September 19.

Police cited restrictions on demonstrations at Azad Maidan and noted that the ongoing Ganeshotsav festival would already strain the city's police resources. The denial blocks Jarange's planned protest venue in the heart of the city.
