Woman Injured After LPG Regulator Comes Off in Pune

A loud noise in Bhimashankar Colony, Pimple Gurav on Sunday afternoon triggered panic among residents, with some initially fearing a gas cylinder explosion. However, Sangvi Police Station confirmed that the LPG cylinder remained intact.
The incident occurred at the home of Bajirao Dalvi between 12:15 pm and 12:30 pm. His wife, Suvarna Dalvi, was fitting a regulator onto an LPG cylinder when it came off with a loud bang. The force dislodged kitchen trolleys that struck her, causing minor injuries. Police said the regulator was not attached properly before being turned on.
The loud sound prompted around five to six fire engines to arrive at the scene, amplifying concerns in the neighbourhood. Sangvi Police Inspector Jitendra Koli stated that further investigation is underway to establish the exact circumstances of the incident.
