Mahajan directs officials to ensure safety, smooth traffic for Nashik Kumbh flag-hoisting

Guardian Minister and Water Resources Minister Girish Mahajan has instructed all concerned departments to coordinate closely and complete preparations for the flag-hoisting ceremony of the Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Simhastha Kumbh Mela. At a review meeting held at the District Collectorate, Mahajan stressed that the event should be grand, well-organised and memorable while ensuring the safety of VIPs, devotees and citizens.

Mahajan directed officials to prioritise devotee convenience and safety by planning parking facilities, traffic management and holding areas to minimise walking distances to the venue. He also emphasised the need for effective crowd management, VIP security arrangements and emergency response systems.

The Minister instructed officials to complete preparations for associated programmes including the village procession, flag-hoisting ceremony, evening Godavari Aarti and conch-blowing event. He called for timely invitations to sadhus, saints, mahants and akharas, and urged participation in the 'Har Ghar Bhagwa Dhwaj' initiative. Kumbh Mela Authority Commissioner Shekhar Singh briefed the meeting on preparations, promotional initiatives including a Kumbh website, coffee-table book, anthem and commemorative postage stamp.
