Maharashtra Makes Aadhaar Mandatory for Property Registration from October 1

Maharashtra's Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule announced that Aadhaar identification will become mandatory for registering immovable property in the state from October 1. No property document will be registered without Aadhaar verification, according to the minister.
The move is intended to prevent fraud and irregularities in property transactions across the state.
