Maharashtra likely to declare 100% drought by month-end, says Minister

Maharashtra is likely to declare a 100% drought across the state by the end of this month, according to Cooperation Minister Babasaheb Patil. Patil described the ongoing dry spell as unprecedented in severity.
The state government has initiated several relief measures to address the crisis, including waiving student fees, providing electricity bill waivers, and deploying water tankers to affected areas. These steps are aimed at providing immediate support to drought-hit communities.
