Maharashtra to Issue Preliminary Drought Notification by Saturday

Maharashtra is set to issue a preliminary drought notification by Saturday, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced. The notification will be based on preliminary information collected from drought-affected areas across the state.

Fadnavis said the data collection on drought-affected regions was conducted following directions issued at an earlier Cabinet meeting. The preliminary notification marks the first official acknowledgment of drought conditions in the state.
